Oscar 2007 Recap - Parent’s Edition

Posted February 26, 2007 at 8:49 am by Prescott

Best Motion Picture: “The Departed” — Oooh, I heard this movie was really good. I haven’t seen it.

Best Actor: Forest Whitaker, “The Last King of Scotland” — I love Forest Whitaker! I haven’t seen this one, either.

Lead Actress: Helen Mirren, “The Queen” — Did you know Helen Mirren has played both Queen Elizabeths in the past couple years? That’s all I know about this film since I didn’t have a chance to catch it in the theater.

Supporting Actor: Alan Arkin, “Little Miss Sunshine” — I am *so* going to watch this when they get the DVD at the library.

Supporting Actress: Jennifer Hudson, “Dreamgirls” — This one I wouldn’t have seen on a bet much less spend $30 for a babysitter.

Visual Effects: “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” — I SAW THIS ONE! I SAW THIS ONE!

Documentary Feature: “An Inconvenient Truth” — I need to Tivo this when it shows up on cable. Was it a sequel to Armageddon or something?
