I think I’m going bald
I decided to combine Challenge #6 with my half-marathon training so now I have sexy workout songs. Seems like a perfect pairing, huh?
Now onto today’s Challenge #7: Hair Care Down There. I admit. I got a little head start on this.
Sorry, no pictures to share, but let’s just say I’m ready for Operation Bikini.
I’m curious to know how your crotch couture turned out. Feel free to send any pictures or video to Whipping Boy. Apparently he’s working on a research project or something.
(Ha!)
Since we’re talking with a lingerie expert on today’s Morning Sex with Mominatrix podcast, I figured it would be fun to make Challenge #8: Get Fitted for a Bra.
Or clean out your bra drawer. Or throw that nasty thing out you call a “bra.”
Get my drift?
Now if you’re nursing (which I still am, but not enough to really warrant wearing a nursing bra), then you should know that there are TONS of sexy nursing bras out there. My favorites include HOTMilk, Bella Materna (for the larger breasted mamas), and Isabella Oliver.
Not cheap, my friends. Not cheap. But pretty.
However, just because you’re nursing doesn’t mean you can’t get a nice regular bra. I realized this halfway through nursing my second (SECOND!) kid when I went out for a date night and asked myself why the hell was I wearing a nursing bra.
If you’re not nursing, then what’s your damn excuse? Get a good bra. Or at least go through your bra drawer and figure out what you actually wear (and what actually fits you), and what you need to get rid of.
There is no reason to wear an ugly bra. And I swear on my own sexy bras that wearing a pretty one will make you feel 10x better about yourself.
And it even makes you feel thinner - which hello! Is always a plus.
Apparently Victoria’s Secret is having their semi-annual sale right now, so if you need a quick cheapie, that’s always an option. Do ask them to measure you though. It’s worth the 3 seconds that it takes to find out.
If you’ve got more time (and money), go to a specialty lingerie shop. It will seriously change your life.
So if you want special tips about bra shopping (because size does matter!), then listen to the Mominatrix podcast (Live 10:30am EST or the archives after the show). Got a favorite brand, tip, something to help us moms with deflated boobs (thanks breastfeeding. Thanks a lot). Share! And stay tuned. We’ve got lots of fun challenges (plus another giveaway) coming up!

Being fitted for a bra is definitely life altering! I’ve never had anyone do it for me but I learned how to do it myself and learned that I had been wearing the WRONG size bra for YEARS! This was about 2 years ago… I went and got a new bra in the right size and my husband couldnt stop staring haha… I looked and felt thinner and they were “back up where they belong” as hubby said, hehe… I’ve lost more weight since then so probably could use an updated size
And my bra drawer will definitely be getting cleared out… I breastfeed my 8 month old but never wear nursing bras, though I have 3… and then I have some I dont even know why I HAVE them… not to mention the ones that the underwire has started to poke out of.. ughh… this should be an adventure in and of itself!

I’m loving this project, bravo!
I prefer pubic hair, but shave it all off every season just for fun. I did it for NYE and have regretted it. I look like a plucked chicken. This hen needs some feathers! I love a nice, trim bush, especially on me.

Amen! Getting fitted for a bra is the best and quickest thing we can do to make our clothes fit better and look better.
Plus having pretty lingerie makes every lady’s inner goddess stand up to take notice and strut just a bit. Making for a good day all around!

Inspired. Tomorrow at lunch I will go to the lingerie shop in the neighbourhood and have it done. Since pregnancy/nursing/weight loss, my bra size has fluctuated between a 34B and 36DD. Just the other day I was noticing that my bras don’t fit…

Okay, sorry to harp on the French thing, but here’s another reason to move: A survey shows that women in France spend 20% of their annual clothing budget on lingerie alone. Can’t be caught in dog-eared undies…non non non.

So I got a start on the trim job and sent my husband an email at work today (he reads the challenges with me at night, so he was aware). The convo went like this:
Me- I got started on my Mominatrix project. I am feeling very clean and very youthful, if you catch my drift.
Hubby- If you had to describe youth based on a band or genre of music which would it be?
Me- Bare Naked Ladies
He said that was much better than ZZ Top.
(So am I entered in the contest, or what?!?!?)

I know I’m a little late, but I went and got an impromptu bra-fitting last night. Turned out that I did know my right size. Also turned out that my bras are, ahem, 10 years old…yeah, I’m a little mortified. Anyway, I bought 2 new ones — it’s a start — and I can’t believe what a difference they make.

I just got fitted for a bra at Victoria’s Secret and it was super easy. I then purchased my new favorite bra, in the right size! Yeah!
