Congratulations for completing all 31 challenges, or at least sticking around to watch the madness. It’s been an exciting month - not just because we’ve done a sexually-related activity for every day this month, but even better, we’ve made some great strides in our own sexuality and in that of our relationships.

Plus, it’s been fabulous meeting a whole slew of new people that I would never have met before.

Last May, Dr. George Tiller was gunned down by a pro-life activist in Sunday church. Yesterday the activist, Scott Roeder, was convicted of Dr. Tiller’s murder.

A Kansas jury deliberated just 37 minutes before convicting an anti-abortion activist of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of an abortion provider.

Roeder says he has no regrets concerning his actions and justifies them by claiming he killed Dr. Tiller to “save lives”.

Prosecutors initially fought to keep abortion out of the trial, claiming that Tiller’s death was a straightforward case of premeditated murder.

Tiller was no stranger to life endangerment. He was regularly attacked and received numerous death threats throughout his career. He figured it was only a matter of time before someone succeeded in his death. No matter what your personal beliefs are on the issue, what happened was a tragedy and an example of extremism.

Roeder will be sentenced on March 9 & faces life in prison.

Well now, I hope that all parties involved were pleased yesterday, and you’re ready to tackle Challenge #30 today.

Now a few of you noticed that I’ve been tweeting “only one more challenge left.” And it’s true. I’m only going to do 30 official challenges. It just sounds better for people to do 30 than 31 if they want to try again on another month.

However, since I did sort of promise 31, there will be a doozy for Sunday!

So tomorrow’s Challenge #30: Sex with the lights on

You laugh. And I say, YES! Lights on.

I realize that many of you already do this, and good on you. But many couples don’t, particularly after having kids, and so I think you’ve worked your way up to this one.

If you do have sex with the lights on all the time, then enjoy. End your Sexual Resolution with a big bang (though #31 is good, I promise).

But if you haven’t had sex with the lights on in awhile, then here are a few tips.

1. Be strategic (i.e. you don’t need to have a spotlight on your ass - mood lighting is still nice)

2. Cover up if you feel uncomfortable (there are lots of sexy things you can wear to cover up if you’re feeling self-conscious

3. Take advantage of the lights being on (make eye contact, watch your partner, the list goes on

So, spill it - do you dig sex with the lights on, or does it make you cringe?
