Dr. Phil: Enough Already!!

Over the past few weeks, the Dr. Phil show has become nothing more than a telethon for the octuplets and their mother.

Since February, Dr. Phil has had at least four shows discussing Nadya Suleman and her eight babies. And tomorrow, ANOTHER hour is going to be spent on the octuplets.

Enough is enough, Dr. Phil!

I can’t figure out why Dr. Phil has decided to take this woman under his wing. (Oh wait, RATINGS! Silly me.) He says it’s because the children are here and they need help. 

I’m not the sharpest tool in the tool box, but even I get it. And, I didn’t need to see five hour-long shows to come to that conclusion. There are a lot of kids, and this mom has no means to support them now.

That said, I think Dr. Phil is ultimately doing this woman a disservice. OK; it was a good thing that he was able to broker a deal with Angels in Waiting for assistance with the children. But now Dr. Phil has crossed the line from being helpful to exploiting Nadya and her family. She seems to love the attention, and Dr. Phil is feeding it at every opportunity. Nadya needs psychological counseling, assistance making decisions for her family, and time to spend with her children at home, not hours on camera answering Dr. Phil’s questions over and over again.

I took a peek at the Dr. Phil message board to see what other viewers thought of all the octuplet coverage, and the majority of the responses echo my feelings. Enough is enough!

Who is giving that woman money?? I can understand wanting the kids taken care of, but I hope to God it’s all going into a trust where an attorney decides how the money is spent. If this is just going to Nadya’s checking account, that’s bull.

Plus, now all these people are going to think you get celebrity and monetary rewards for being negligent and making bad decisions.

From its outset, this story has absolutely disgusted me!

Keep this woman OFF the airwaves so that she doesnt monetarily gain from one of the most irresponsible decisions involving parenthood, this country might have ever seen.

Someone needs to spend some money on getting her psychological counselling and it is my belief and I have stated this before, those children would be better off in foster care with an eye toward ultimate placing in sound, loving adoptive homes.

Nadya Suleman is a whack job and Dr. Phil isnt much better.

I saw on the news that somehow Nadya bought a new house. I didn’t hear the specifics, though. They showed a picture of the outside of the house. It seems that the neighbors have welcomed her with open arms. The entire outside of the house was strewn with toilet paper.

I agree, Dr. Phil give it a rest!!!!!!!

Silly me. I got it all backwards!!!

When I was just 30 years old I ended my 11 year marriage & started my life over with my son. I started a new relationship with a man who has 2 children from a previous marriage….because we were just starting over & had 3 children between us I thought the most responsible thing I could do was to undergo a tubal ligation. It was a tough decision & I went through a bit of a grieving process for the children we would ever have together. However, it would have been completely irresponsible & selfish to bring another child into this world when we were already struggling to support ourselves & our 3 kids just so we could have “OUR” baby.

Now…6 years later I find out that I should have just cranked out as many kids as my uterus would allow & I would have received TONS of free stuff, hand outs, national media attention, & so much help with my responsibilities that I shirked off onto someone else I can go shopping at Nordstrom (with all the money people want to give me)

I am JUST livid at this woman’s complete and utter lack of humility, honesty, responsiblity, QUICK! someone give me some more adjectives to describe this idiot!

She has FOURTEEN! count them…. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 FOURTEEN!!!!!

Ooops..Im so pissed off I hit the enter button before I was finished with my tirade!

She has 14 kids and shes dropping a grand on MAC makeup.

She has to continue TRYING to look as good as Angelina Jolie. And of course, she’s on Dr. Phil every waking moment so I guess spending all that money on makeup (what the hell is wrong with supermarket makeup for this mother of 14, with no job and no husband???) is A-OK!

I want to puke.

no principles or ethics, those come to mind Mully.

For me, having been a single mom for many yrs, it’s disheartening to know that you have worked your ass off, done all that you know is right and honest and decent, struggled to raise your kids financially, send or help them through college, put food on the table, a roof over their heads, pay for school trips, a few clothes for your teens that are “in”, medical procedures and treatments, then see something like this, and not get riled up. My girls are grown, all graduated college and law school, and here I am being proud of them for that, and for working and helping to pay their way through school. What they and I couldn’t pay, they took out in loans. Stupid me. If only I’d been adept at cheating the system, my girls wouldn’t have had to come out of school owing money and perhaps I would be able to afford health insurance, and not have to worry about money, or lack thereof. It’s hard to be gracious when someone like Nadya comes along and manages to have it all handed to her, and for what? Because she was irresponsible, stupid, selfish and another greedy b*tch!

So, are the likes of her and Kate starting a “fad”? Are we to expect yet another litter of babies from the next idiot? Given the rewards/perks/freebies that have been thrown at these two, it’s bound to happen again. Did someone do a lousy job of raising their daughters! Am I wrong to feel that way? Seriously, be honest, I want to know. Kate and Nadya are about the same age, is it something they learned at home? Is it peculiar to their age group? Were they over indulged as kids? I want to understand. I want someone to understand, so it doesn’t become an epidemic!

Dr. Phil is becoming a desperate parody of himself. I think the masses ’say’ they want highbrow television but what pulls in ratings is “next on Dr. Phil, the Octomom!” or “next on Dr. Phil, the trainwreck that is Brittney Spears and her mother!”

He is feeding the flames of this particular brand of crazy and he should be very, very ashamed.

Just because “People want to see it” doesn’t make it a great idea.

People find it difficult to turn away from a train wreck as well, but I daresay Dr. Phil should stage one for our viewing pleasure.

As a professional, he should be more accountable than to continue showing this train wreck of a woman. He can call it whatever he likes, but I believe shes on his show as often as she is purely for the ratings.

As Kym said. Just because the mainstream media insists on glorifying her and what shes done, doesnt make any of this right and Dr. Phil should be above all of it.

If its possible, hes lost even more credibility with me.

Its really funny. Today, right after Stacey posted the link to the Halloween costume, I got an email from my daughter titled “Best Mardi Gras Costume EVER!”
