Busy bee
I am so happy summer is coming to an end. I’m sick of feeling guilty that I don’t swim all the time, and I’m ready for lamb stew and sweatpants. I can not WAIT to take the kid pumpkin picking, and Halloween season = horror movies = a happy Tracy.
Life’s been pretty good. I can talk about this now, because it’s over but we had a pregnancy scare. Actually I had a pregnancy scare because I skipped a period, and this morning craved BBQ sauce….on Tositos. Every time my period is late, I assume I’m pregant despite the fact that my husband and I are careful with a capital CAREFUL so after Sushi I went home, peed, and realized I’m A: just irregular and B: just a fat ass. I’m relieved I can go on with my coffee drinking/ciggarette sneaking ways because frankly, I don’t WANT another kid right now. Life’s just starting to kick ass! I’m swamped with work, the kid is walking and mimicing everything I say [including shhh, and nonononono] and I’m getting the perfect, solid 8 hrs a night.
So yes, like I said I’m cool with laughing about this now because hell, I’m NOT pregnant and I’m having an extra large, extra strong coffee to celebrate. I also started a meet up group for mothers who write, and I’m starting that ASAP. The thought of a living room full of creative mommas, and adorable kids eating organic goldfish makes me smile. Andddd…much to my husbands delight I have scheduled a dog play date at our house in October with so far 5 pets! Not counting my two!
I love meetup.com
It’s pretty much taking over my life.
There’s a meet up group for everything!
So yes, life is good, I’m not knocked up, and I’m making friends. Can I get a hellll yeah?

I love seasons as they come - and go. ITA that while I love summer and embrace it wholeheartedly, I’m ready for Fall now. Then I’d like Winter to last for exactly six weeks give or take. I’m thinking Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve would be nifty!
Yesterday it was slightly cool. I made a roast and a pie. It was great
