I wasn’t at BlogHer - now with pics!

Posted July 20, 2008 at 8:34 pm by Prescott

I can’t believe how exhausted I am after not going to BlogHer. Not flying across the country, not seeing old friends or meeting new people, and not squee-ing like a 12-year-old girl for 48 hours can really take a lot out of a fella. Like any blogger worth their salt, I made sure to document my time not at BlogHer with plenty of photos.

Here’s me not in Guy Kawasaki’s backyard:

On my way back inside the house for more bug spray, I saw somebody that wasn’t Dooce! She didn’t even make eye contact with me when I told her how great she was — what a bitch.

The next morning, with plenty of time to kill before I had nowhere to be, I decided to check out some of the sights not anywhere near San Francisco:

All that walking around made me hungry, so I partook in some local non-San Franciscan cuisine I’ve heard so much about:

Later, I didn’t attend the BlogHer keynote. Instead, I watched Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, featuring a young Dr. Izzie. “I’m not a busboy, I’m a porter!”

The next day I was kind of tired, so I decided to skip the breakfast nobody provided for me, and visited some attractions closer to home:

Here’s all the swag I bought at Target:

My non-BlogHer weekend wrapped up with not going to the cheeseburger party.

Non-BlogHer weekend sadly over, I forlornly got behind the wheel of my car and made my way to a parking lot by the airport to lie on the hood and watch planes go by, Wayne’s World style.

So that’s it! I hope the rest of you that didn’t go to BlogHer had as much fun not going as I did. Hope to not see you next year!

It all looks exhausting. So glad you survived. Perhaps you should take a couple of days to recover.

Yeah, I have to comment on the burger/champagne combo, too. Your chef hat is showing, you just can’t help but have good taste, can you?

@Jen: Trust me, I am.

@Liz: That’s for my special private collection.

@Rita: I was just trying to make non-BlogHer weekend special.

When are you going to do a post about not coming to Denver to not visit me and not talk religion and politics while not drinking Fat Tire all night long?

15. Prescott

July 22, 2008 @ 12:47 pm

I have a trip not scheduled to Denver next month.

Ha! You are welcome to not come to Hooterville and not have a glass of my famous flaming wine with me any day my dear!

Prescott, when I was fainting down dead hungry and was offered a quarter of some damn poseur tofu burger, let me tell you. I’d rather have been with you eating your local non-San Francisco cuisine.

Hilarious post.

I hear you — my wife is from Seattle, and I can’t believe what passes for a hot dog out there. Fortunately I have not spent enough time on the west coast to find out what they consider “pizza”.

I was born in NY, and now live in Seattle. You don’t want to know what shit they pass off as pizza!

I wasn’t at BlogHer either.
Strangely, now I feel like I was.

I think I would’ve had more fun at your BlogHer. I do much better with small groups of people.

Hilarious post!

Chag, if you come to my Non-BlogHer Conference™ next year that would be a 100% increase in turnout. Sweet!

OMG…now that was funny. Sheesh why didn’t you invite me? I couldn’t go to Blogher and I missed it. I still could have had a rockin time at the Zoo. ;)

I’m so glad I cruised by. This post was just hilarious. I loved the photographs, particularly the cheeseburger one. And I wouldn’t have noticed the champagne except for one of the commentors.

Too funny! Hope you are doing well!
