Sanctuary!
Ever wish you could freeze time, when you’re amid the screaming of children and general chaos that is life, to take a moment for the sake of regaining your sanity? Yeah, me too. Trust me, I’ve tried that remote trick that Adam Sandler did on “Click” and, much to my chagrin, it didn’t work. Hey…it was worth a try! I am well aware that the chaos and ear splitting shrieking that sometimes plague a parent’s day, are the norm. I understand that the high pitched decibels of toddlers mean that our children are healthy and that the chaos is the result of not doubling up on my birth control methods. That doesn’t make it any easier to navigate through the moments that make me want to call CPS and turn myself in for a made up infraction, just to get a day of peace.

I only have one kid and she can drive me insane at times and they are always at the worst possible times too. Like a temper tantrum in the supermarket, or not wanting to stay in the cart in Target. Screaming in church because she wants to run up and down the aisle and then the general whining and crying over something they dont even know or want themselves. I know I have days when my daughter is acting this way. Sometimes I sink in my chair hoping no one sees me so I can take a breath before I grab my child like a sack of potatos and hurry away as fast as I can without anyone taking notice. lol. Sometimes my daughter seems so out of control. I know from sitting at the playground seeing kids kicking and screaming. I think to myself, wow, I’m glad my kid isn’t like that. But I think I’ve jinxed myself or I just have to accept the fact that all kids go through these WILD phases. I love my kid to death, I do everything for her. But there are times where she is throwing her fits and I wish I could just go off and sit someplace quiet for at least 5 minutes without having to haul this precious cargo into time out every five minutes.

Aww thanks!! Yes, looks are deceiving. And she always makes me look like a liar. I tell family and friends about how she acts sometimes and then when she is around them, she acts like an angel and once they leave she starts her crap. lol.. Her boo boo is great now! It’s healed for the most part. The bruising has gone away and all you can see is this thin red line now. The stitches dissolved in like 3 days. Kids heal so fast!

Here’s a picture of my daughter going down the slide that hurt her. Doesn’t the slide just look awkwardly made? You can see all the bolts and it has all these open groves in it. And of course my kid is the one who gets hurt.
