Dude, I hear you.

Before we had our son, my husband and I swore we wouldn't sell out and do the Babies R Us bullshit. But when it came down to it, we made a deal with the devil, hung our heads and bought fugly shit from there.

I was ashamed at first.

Then, after I had Ryan, I realized I didn't care WHERE the kid slept/hung out/spaced out. I would've let him sleep in a shit-lined shoe at that point if it would've meant I could blow-dry my hair.

You seem to be argumentative
Who, moi? LOL. Seriously, wiping my eyes over that one. Yes, I tend to be a tad argumentative at times on internet boards. It's what makes me mellow-mom the rest of the time. But, believe me, it's soooo not personal. And yes, if you're writing a product evaluation for the rich and famous, then this ridiculously priced baby bouncer might be taken seriously. But, from real moms, it just gives us a laugh.
Well, you basically wrote an advertisement for a product, and then get pissy when people who actually have kids criticize it? Hmmm.
I'm not quite sure that it's me that tends to have a "pissy" tone. And this blog was placed under products and tips... far from an advertisement.

You seem to be argumentative -- and take things personally when your opinion isn't the one being expressed.

This is simply an alternative for parents who have varying tastes and budgets.

"More liberal?" It's obscene. The only way that bouncy seat would be worth $350 is if it came with $300 cash hidden in a pocket somewhere.
Well, no one is asking you to buy it.

That IS obscene.

$350?! You could spend that amount on FOOD for a week or two.

I can't believe people spend that much on bouncy-things and strollers, etc. But hey, that's their thing, I suppose.

Again, this is just another choice for parents who prefer mod design, and whose budget is just more liberal.

That is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on something that will only be used for *maybe* six months. Trust me, if you ever actually have a baby, you'll be willing to put a chair that looks like a life-sized Bozo the Clown in your LR if it means you get a shower.
