I still give you kudos for blaming yourself for your daughters temper tantrum. I take it one step further and blame my kid. ;)[/quote]

LMAO, and I just blame anyone else who is bothered by it. A grocery store? Bah. There's no enjoyment to be had there anyway, so nobody's "shopping experience" is ruined by it. It throws a little wrench in the monotony, tosses a little spice into the experience. Old people were entertained by the horror of it, and talked about it for weeks. Single people remembered to buy condoms. Parents of younger children vowed to never let THEIR kid do that. Parents of older kids remembered those days and were glad they're passed. See? The kid did everyone a favor, except the mom.

Welcome fellow imperfect parent. I think the concept will unite parents <strike>nation-wide</strike> world-wide and could potentially end wars.

Thanks, Ladies! It's lovely to be here :-)

I've been reading the comments on the Jon and Kate thread. Our satellite TV thingy sometimes broadcasts parenting shows from America (Adoption Stories, etc) so I'll have to keep an eye out for it. My favourite is probably the Super Nanny, just in terms of letting me know that my kids are actually really, really good! ;-)

LOL, I am so amazed that the Jon and Kate thread keeps going! I've watched exactly one episode of that show and it really inspired NO emotion in me whatsoever. I pop in to see if maybe the topic has changed to something interesting, but it hasn't.

Anyway, welcome Trish. And, if you ever want to learn how to not be ineffective anymore, I give lessons. Only half kidding, lol.
