Well at least Spongebob would be useful if someone knocks a drink over (and apparently he makes a mean Krabby-Patty as well), but I'd draw the line at the little Yellow pokemon mouse thing with the electric thunderbolt attack - it's bad enough that our house pet is named after it 8-)

LOL, then they don't know Velma like I know Velma. Seriously, I am quite the Scoob authority these days and Velma's kind of a bitch. In the original ones. Maybe you're a latter-day Velma. Or live-action movie Velma (she was looking good in that red leather suit in Scooby Doo 2). I bet that's the Velma they mean.

Well, the whole anime thing certainly turns on the Japanese, why not a suburban, blonde housewife? ;)

I can't remember personifying any cartoon guy, but I so wanted Casper to be real. If I have any lingering self esteem issues it's because my brother and sister would endlessly tease me and torture me over Casper and never allow me to watch it. Using my love for that POS cartoon to illustrate how retarded I was.

We only had one television when I was growing up so I just had to day-dream about Casper but it never translated into a crush and Prescott is polar opposite of Casper.
