I was taught from a fundamentalist science textbook that carbon dating is not real and the world is only as old as the oldest recorded date in the old testament. I was taught that dinosaurs never existed, fossils are clever fabrications and the people who believe in evolution are going to hell. I did a little happy dance when I returned to the states to learn the democrats had retaken congress. You speak the truth. Except through rational folks like you who encourage me to think that there is still a glimmer of hope for future generations.
