Don't worry Amy, I'll come be an old fart with you. It infuriates me how pot use is so blatently splattered all over TV and such. Everyone laughs it off or makes it a no-big-deal issue, but the fact is IT'S ILLEGAL. I don't condone it in anyway nor do I think it's funny to pretend to be high. My husband had a friend from work who used to laugh and tell us how cute it was when his son was 2 and he would blow out Daddy's bong light and he'd have to light it again and the 2 year old would laugh and blow it out again! Gosh, I ripped my husband's ear off on the way home about that. Or the guy and his wife told us (within earshot of thier now-teenaged son) about the good-old-days when they could screw all night when they were high on coke! It's a shame people set such bad examples for thier kids.....

Wait! You were at a party where parents were smoking pot?!? Are you serious? I haven't been around that since I was single, in my 20's and living in the city. Who do these people think they are? I mean, if they do it in the privacy of their own home, that's one thing, but at a party with other parents? It sounds like they still want to be kids!

I was actually driven home by a drunk father I was babysitting for, when I was in highschool. I didn't want to be rude and it was only a few blocks. A few blocks of driving on the sidewalk. That was after he managed to get his car out of the wall of the garage. I can't believe I was no stupid that I allowed him to drive me home. I didn't know what to do. I was only 15 and I was so scared to walk home by myself and I'm not I understood the true ramifications of drunk driving.

Luckily, the parents were so embarrassed that they never called me again and I never babysat again until I was in college -- the event scarred me that badly.
