Who’s the hottest mom in America?
Please don’t think that I have low self-esteem if I say, it sure as hell isn’t me!
However, there are many moms out there vying for the cheesy title.
Last week, in Miami, a slew of mothers waited in line in hopes of being awarded the “Hottest Mom in America” title. Winners receive cash prizes and a dream. A pipe dream.
Now, I’m not knockin’ it, because I support moms who take care of themselves and refuse to give up their sexiness in lieu of motherhood, but some of these chicks look as if they’re trying a little too hard to stay young. You can look sexy and beautiful without having to look all skank-like. (Can I say that without feminists holding signs on my front lawn?). Auditions continue around the country for all of you who think you’re the shizzy-mizzy MILF.

Now this mother/daughter pair takes me back to that 1970s/80’s commercial about who had the younger hands. One is 17, the other 47. It took me a second to decide. You have to admit, this chick is a pretty hot mama:

Local moms compete for ‘Hot’ title A gaggle of gorgeous moms from across South Florida lined up in Miami Beach for a chance at cash prizes, a modeling agency interview and the title of ‘Hottest Mom in America.’
BY LAURA MORALESAt 5 a.m., when many partygoers are going home from clubland, a bunch of fair ladies began lining up Saturday outside an empty Miami Beach theater with no velvet rope and no bouncer.
Some wore classy, elegant dresses, while others looked set to embrace a brass pole. There were naturally pneumatic stunners and others who obviously had had some, ahem, surgical assistance.
But they all shared one sultry goal: to become the Hottest Mom in America — and earn some cash for themselves and their kids.

Yeah, I’m just sick of America’s definition of beauty anyways. Do they evaluate the character of the woman along with the size and shape of her body?

I think the older the Mom, the more points her looks should count for. It’s easier to look hot (in the media driven concept of hot) when you’re young. It takes a lot more work and effort to pull that off the older you get. I’d give the Mom in the Mom/Daughter photo you posted WAY more points than the little blonde number in the middle of the group shot above her.

So funny, I clicked to comment and see my name, but it’s not me!
Honestly, I wish much of the time that I looked like one of those moms, but then I remember I didn’t look like that at 21!!
Oh well.

I agree with you that there’s no need to try and look like a teenage girl to be considered “hot” and I think there’s a vast difference between looking great and feeling great, and becoming plastic.
I think looking hot happens on the inside much of the time anyway.
But, let’s face it, I wouldn’t kick that blonde “47″ year old mom out of bed for eating crackers.

And don’t take this the wrong way, but I think you’re totally hot.

I do believe that we’re naturally attracted to what we see FIRST. What comes after (character)is what you base a deeper relationship on. HOT is many things, but you can’t deny that physical beauty is often the trigger for sexual impulse.
Whatall of that has to do with motherhood is beyond me. My guess is that the hottest mother out there is the one NOT standing on the stage asking for a vote.

I’m glad my mom was never a hottie. It would really depress me if my guy friends would only want to hang out because they lusted after her.
Besides, I had to put up with her being the “fun mom” (not to be confused with the “fun” moms who let their kids and others drink, have sex, etc..)She worked part-time with a girl I went to H.S. with and she told me to tell her HI. So I did, and that girl couldn’t believe it. “Your mom is Debbie? Oh, my God! I never would have thought she was YOUR mom. She’s so cool! Oh, my God…..” I quietly slunk back into my nerdy corner of the classroom…..

Stacy, you’re right, it is kinda weird, this whole “hot mom” trend. For me, I just think it’s good, shallow fun and I do think moms often put aside taking care of themselves because they are so absorbed in their kids lives. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I’m not sure it’s always healthy.
mammax3, you bring up a good point actually. I also don’t think it’s healthy to want to be hot for your older children’s friends.
Fun moms still rule the day!

I have no problem with moms who try to keep themselves attractive…but I’m so sick of women trying to look sixteen. As someone who lives in L.A., I see this sort of thing everytime I go the grocery store: the fake-blonde overly made-up mom in ultra tight pants, teeny top, with cleavage oozing over.
It’s seems too many women - and men - don’t really want to be adults these days, so they continue to behave like teenagers.
And…I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess most of those women trying out for the “hot mom” contest consider themselves “cool parents.” Ugh!
As a parent of a teenager, those “cool parents” give me a huge headache.
Oops, sorry, I went off on a tangent. But, somehow, I think they’re related.
