Yeah...we're obsessed. That's why I tend to respect more the famous folks who try to keep to themselves. That is SO not Eva Longoria.

I could understand if it was part of the "entertainment" segment, but part of the regular news? There's no way the news could have been that slow, even in Mayberry! ;)

What's even more amazing, is that these supposed reputable "news" sources are offering the public what they want by way of ratings? Why are people so obsessed with celebrities lives and why are celebrities so obsessed with their own lives? Why do they and the public think they're so important??

I think it's an escape from the crazy world and a fantasy that people buy into because they want to be those people.

Onto the dating thing. I just have to say in a mini-rant, that what is really annoying, are the moms that get more involved in their teens dating than their kids do. It becomes the same kind of neurotic escape that the celebrity gossip is to them. I find that really creepy and furthermore, the whole Kindergarten dating and moms encouraging that sort of behavior is even more creepy. Moms think it's cute, but why are we encouraging that of mere babes? They have enough time for that grown-up stuff and I find it in very poor taste when I find mothers trying to play matchmaker for their 5 year-olds. I see it all the time.
