At that time, the Thai authorities contacted the Boulder police and the rest is humiliating history. A lot of people are saying that Karr falsely confessed so that he would be extradited back to the U.S. But wasn't he in Thailand of his own free will? What charges was he facing in Thailand? He was only arrested there in connection with the JBR case, wasn't he? Because from other articles I've read, he apparently just started a new teaching job and wasn't in trouble with Thai authorities. I’m not clear about something here.
